Ambassador Programs

If you're new to running you might not be aware of what is known as "Ambassadorships". Despite what you may have heard or thought you do not need to be an elite athlete to participate in these programs. You can find them everywhere from your local running stores to the large companies. These programs offer some great benefits some offer free products, or race entries, and even discounts on the products they sell. I have found that these discounts range from 20% to 50%. But the biggest benefit you will get from these programs is the connections you will make. The other runners you will meet. Especially from the local running store. Being so closely connected with your local running community will be a great benefit. You will always need more motivation or support, and there they are. You always have people around to answer questions when you have them, and people who will look to you when they have questions. You will make friendships. Which lets face it, is VERY difficult to do when your an adult. But as part of a running community, its so easy. Now don't get me wrong these companies do want something in return for all these amazing benefits. But believe me they are nothing compared to what you get. They will want you to mention them or hashtag them in your social media posts. Now not ALL your social media posts but your posts about running. And if you can include their product in your pictures all the better. Some will want you to volunteer at events for them, or they may send you samples of their product to pass out with discount codes. These programs are worth the time and effort. Most just require the submission of an application. Just pick your favorite product and google it with the word ambassador. Or go into your local running store if they have a program. If not I am sure they will be willing to point you in the direction of some companies that do.
